ACCPAC Accounting Software

ACCPAC is a vendor of accounting and business management software. Its company name is sometimes used interchangeably with the name of the products, although the company is part of the Sage Group, a leading supplier of business management and accounting software based in the UK. The ACCPAC accounting software, one of the more well-known products of the company, claims to simplify the tasks related to accounting through a number of flexible features and comprehensive modules.

The most important module of the ACCPAC accounting software is the general ledger module. It is considered as the foundation of the accounting system, with flexibilities that can handle the present and future financial management requirements of organizations regardless of their types or sizes. The module provides an interactive feature that is designed to handle the most demanding needs for processing and budgeting. The general ledger can be fully integrated with all other modules and is a key factor in maximizing the accuracy and efficiency of the company’'s financial data.

Another significant module of the ACCPAC accounting software is the one for the purchase order. It works with the modules for Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, and Order Entry to provide a complete purchasing system. This module allows the user to combine two or more purchase orders on one receipt and combine two or more receipts on one invoice.

With regard to its system requirements, the ACCPAC accounting software can run on the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, or Novell. It needs a minimum of 300 MB for its application files and requires hardware such as a mouse and a printer.
